Dance and Anatomy
A fun and active way to learn about the body.
A program where students get to be creative, have fun, and learn exciting routines while simultaneously becoming more knowledgeable about their muscles, bones, and how they work. We believe dance compliments and aids in creative learning of kinesiology while anatomy compliments dance in learning about what the body is made up of and how it anatomically functions.
Leap and Learn
Ready, Set, Go
This program aims to foster a love for movement and its connection to the technology driven world we live in using dance and the educational programming language Scratch. Students will be allowed to recognize their own individuality through creative choreography while also focusing on coordination and how several moves will come together to form a dance. Every move is key to their expression and in Scratch we will reproduce each one using the easy to use drag-and-drop format. Students will gain hands-on understanding of programming fundamentals.
Scratch Programming
Enjoy Pure Fun
Using Scratch, we give students a hands-on understanding of programming fundamentals. Older children might be encouraged to look at and take apart the sample projects or starting straight away to build their own similar projects. Younger children might need to work more slowly, exploring the scratch environment and commands by creating sprites(avatars) and performing turtle graphic type operations before putting blocks together to build an application. Some children might want to develop complex games straight away. We have challenges for each age group and make it a priority to make Scratch as engaging and enjoyable as possible.
